Children’s Computers

  • Two computers with pre-loaded children’s games are available to junior patrons
  • Headphones may be requested at the counter (limited to these machines)
  • Internet access is unavailable
  • There is no charge, membership requirement or time limit for this service

Public Internet Access

Library Workstations – General Information

  • All machines have Microsoft Office Suite 2013
  • Patrons can use personal headphones
  • Information can be saved to a CD or Flash drive
  • Information cannot be saved to the workstation hard-drive or to an external hard-drive requiring its own power source
  • Printing is available for a small fee, black and white copies only

Library Workstations – Policy Overview

  • Library members in good standing will be allowed to use the public computers free of charge
  • The patron’s membership card must be presented before the machines can be accessed
  • A parent or guardian must sign a membership card for those under 18 years of age, not only to join the library, but also to give permission to use the Internet
  • Non-members can use the Internet computers for a fee of $3.00
  • Users are limited to one logon per day, not to exceed 60 minutes in length
  • While the library has a screening mechanism in place, it is not possible to control material accessed by Internet users
  • Assistance from library staff will be limited

Wireless Access

  • The library has a wireless system available to all during Library hours
  • There is no charge, membership requirement or time limit for this service
  • The library cannot guarantee anti-virus or firewall protection for this service, and can accept no responsibility for downloaded material that could damage personal machines

Laptop Access

  • The library is equipped with a number of laptop connections, available to all during Library hours
  • There is no charge, membership requirement or time limit for this service
  • The library cannot guarantee anti-virus or firewall protection for this service, and can accept no responsibility for downloaded material that could damage personal machines
